i was looking at some classic sculpture when i got the idea for this one. I wanted to capture that classic look of greek legend. No specific characters were used, i was just going for a general feel. well just as the title suggests, the scene depicts a forest after heavy rains; when the mud of the forest is soft and malleable, thats when the moss maidens emerge,formed of the softened earth and moss, they're basically forest spirits given form. The ghostly chateau is a nightclub of sorts where all sorts of strange amusement can be had. Some more seductively sinister than others. This is a scene from the novel i'm working on, can't really go into details. This is a close-up of the Character Chaos from a story I'm writing. Basically it's practice for me in painting faces and hair. The starry eyes represent the swirling abyss of chaos, which is appropriate seeing as how she is the anthropormorphic personification of chaos. The eyes being the window to the soul and all.
